We are currently seeking a show tech to operate teleprompter equipment. It is an administrative role: typing skills and knowledge of computer programs including PowerPoint and Photoshop are required to operate teleprompter, graphics (PowerPoint/ Keynote, etc.), and/or ARS during live events and productions.
Major Responsibilities:
- Setting up and data entering information for the scene, script or speech in advance of the production or event.
- Editing, correcting and ensuring accuracy of the information entered into the teleprompter.
- Providing translation from audio or video sources into text format that can be read by the teleprompter machine.
- Managing timelines and schedules to ensure that information is available on time or well in advance of production.
- Traveling to various on and off site shoot locations as required by the production.
- Coordinating various aspects of the data entry and scheduling equipment as needed.
- Setup and strike of equipment including teleprompter and Audience Response Systems (ARS).
- ARS knowledge of keypad programming, and computer interface.
- Make on site changes and play back PowerPoint /Keynote presentations in a live show environment.
Minimum Requirements:
- Flexible Schedule, long hours.
- Travel up to 75% of the time.
- General Knowledge of PowerPoint.
- Be able to Type 65-75 words per minutes.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management.
