Temporary Inventory Control Technician - DALLAS

We are looking for a Temporary AV Warehouse Inventory Control Technician at our DALLAS (Irving) location to temporarily supplement our workforce and help perform duties to check in and check out audio visual product, load and unload trucks, return product to inventory, and assist with any range of warehouse operations to track inventory and fulfill customer orders, working within the limits of prescribed routines.

Major Responsibilities:
  • Work from reservations, show quotes, asset tracking forms, manifest sheets, cross rental forms, chase lists, and other similar documentation.
  • Unload trucks returning equipment following rental to customers. Stage returned product in designated warehouse location. Open and visually inspect condition of returned product. Prepare and affix tags to indicate the requirement for cleaning or repair of specified product and report obvious damaged or missing product. Scan bar codes to record the return of product to inventory.
  • Move returned and accounted for product to designated warehouse inventory, storage, or staging locations. Review chase lists and locate and identify product not recorded into inventory following return of contract.
  • Work in show teams as required supporting Quality Control Technicians to pull and track inventory, set up equipment, run cable, perform prescribed standard tests on equipment, and otherwise prepare orders for shipment.
  • Receive and review rental reservations and show orders. Gather information and record required data on manifests, including case number, description, and bar code identification, country of origin, value, and weight as required based on domestic or international shipping requirements. Visually check orders to ensure that all ancillary elements required are included with order and to identify and report on cosmetic discrepancies. Locate missing elements of orders and ensure that orders are complete. Report the need for repairs identified from visual inspection and make standard or routine cosmetic repairs as required, including cleaning and reapplication of labels.
  • Prepare and apply manifest labels to identify product and order details, indicating case number, show name, venue location, and other required data.
  • Package loads for shipment, ensuring that all products and components are properly packed in cases. Locate appropriate cases for product as required. Wrap and position components to protect from shifting and damage in transit. Shrink wrap specific cases in designated colors to indicate destinations within venue as required.
  • Load trucks as directed, assisting to position cases to ensure proper balancing of loads and to avoid shifting or damage in transit.
  • Prepare new or transferred product for inclusion in inventory, applying labels and bar codes as required. Prepare product for removal from inventory for sale. Process related asset transaction forms recording all required information.
  • Assist to perform any warehouse operations as required including attending to the needs of visitors picking up or returning product, making local deliveries, counting and tracking warehouse consumables, and responding to inquiries from internal staff or customers.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Flexible Work Schedules -Nights/Weekends
  • Prefer audio visual experience
  • Recognizes and sorts different cable types, returning them to the proper storage bin, or pulling the proper number of each when assigned to do so. Demonstrates the ability to follow cable protocols accurately.
  • Recognizes cases which are damaged or in need of repair, removes these items from inventory, and notifies supervision to begin the repair process.
  • Is proactive in maintaining cosmetic appearance of equipment and cable cases by removing outdated/unnecessary stickers, labels, and markings during the return process.
  • Demonstrates a growing knowledge of the equipment and any accessories or “parts” of a given piece of equipment. Should report any “missing” items to an IC leader, QC, or Supervisor when discovered at check-in or while creating a manifest.
  • Understands the sensitivity of the company’s equipment and the requirements of the company to ensure the proper transport of equipment. Demonstrates the ability to appropriately package equipment for travel.
