We are looking for an experienced AV Systems Integration Technician in our Orlando location to perform duties to integrate audio/visual components including control systems, video conferencing solutions and distribution systems of any complexity in customer locations under the direction of and working in cooperation with the Lead Technician or Engineer assigned to the project, working within the limits of standard or accepted practice.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in audio/video, control systems, and video-conferencing solutions
- Trade school or AA diploma in related field a plus
- Knowledge of Best Practices of Audio/Video Integration
- Familiarity with Control Systems (Crestron, AMX) and/or programming required
- Possess InfoComm Certified Technology Specialist – (CTS-I)
- Must be knowledgeable of various cable types
- Must possess steel-toed work boots and eye protection
- Must possess typical and standard tools required to perform audio/video integration
- Must possess a valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record
Major Responsibilities / Essential Functions:
- Provide leadership and direction to coworkers, adhering to corporate standards, policies and Best Practices
- Work from sales orders, manuals, schematics, designs, prints, layouts, power requirements, renderings, and similar information
- Integrate equipment in existing client facilities or in facilities under construction, where requirements and layouts have been defined by others. Pulling cable and wire, making connections and terminations, hanging projectors, flat panel monitors, speakers, screens, and other peripheral devices, integrating video conferencing equipment, audio visual mixing devices, control systems, lighting equipment, building racks, and various other tasks associated with audio visual, video conferencing and broadcast equipment
- Must be able to properly tune and adjust standard audio/video components such as projectors, monitors, powered projection screens, and audio amplifiers
- Assist in the testing and debugging of completed projects to insure proper system functionality
- Respond to customer reports of operating problems in fulfillment of service contracts. Travel to customer site, diagnose problems, determine cause and extent of problems, and make required adjustments, and demonstrate operation to client as required
- Work with Inventory Clerk to pull necessary equipment as is specified for a given project
- Train customers on the use of all systems and their operation
- Record and report on time
- Perform other duties as pertaining to the job that are assigned and/or deemed necessary
- Maintain cleanliness and adequate inventory levels of all parts, tools, and equipment in all work areas including company vehicles, workrooms, and especially customer locations
- Responsible for all applicable job related paperwork, such as material sheets, expense reports, and timesheets

- Experienced in leading a team of technicians and engineers to successfully integrate audio/video technology
- Familiarity with construction sites and with construction codes for safety and low voltage cabling
- Individual should have ability to safely use power tools and other hand tools
- Demonstrate knowledge of signal flow, schematic and wiring diagrams. Must also be able to produce technical documentation
- Must have the ability to climb ladders, negotiate heights, work around a construction environment, have the ability to lift at least 25 lbs over their head, and have a basic understanding of building codes
- Individual must be able to take written and verbal direction, have strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently and in a team
- Superior customer service and support skills required
- Understand and adhere to departmental standards and policies for the integration of audio/video components and control systems
- Excellent mechanical fabrication and soldering skills, and the ability to teach or demonstrate techniques to coworkers
- Advanced computer skills and knowledge of computer networking and routing
