Citrus County School Board

The Citrus County School Board, located in Inverness, Florida, required an upgrade to their current boardroom space to bring the facility up to speed with the 21st century. When the board meets to discuss the 18,000 students and employees within their school district, they wanted a state-of-the-art boardroom space that will bring them into the digital age and support their future goal of becoming paperless, as well as assist them in planning for the the development of the community while maximizing the efficiency of their public hearings for the board members and participants. LMG worked closely with the Citrus County government to design, integrate and program a video, audio and control system that would meet the school board’s needs, and find a user-friendly system that would work within their budget and maintain through the coming years.

Within the boardroom, LMG provided two wall-mounted Panasonic PT-LB75U, 2600 lumen projectors to display presentations onto two motorized 7’ Draper screens. In addition, each board member’s seat is equipped with an LCD monitor and pivot desk mounts to allow each member the ability to watch the presentation or documents displayed on the large screen, or view the meeting from the audience perspective, which is digitally recorded using a mounted Pan/Tilt/Zoom camera system, and JVC video recorder/player. The meetings are also viewable on a 42” HD plasma monitor in the district lobby area, for anyone seated outside the conference room. In addition, the audio system was upgraded with Shure gooseneck microphones at each board member’s seat, Lectrosonic’s digital matrix audio processor, and Extron amplifier, allowing the chairperson’s voice to override the other microphones.
