Educational Facilities

LMG will work with you to meet the specific needs of your educational environment, and help to design a system that will assist in achieving your academic objectives.

SMART classrooms bring all the latest technology and teaching aids together in an environment that is not only engaging for students, but also user friendly for instructors. These classrooms allow instructors to present material through intriguing visuals on a multi-media system that incorporates the use of PowerPoint, CD, DVD, VCR, and the Internet.

Components of a SMART Classroom

SMART Classroom systems normally consist of five main components:

  • Video Projection System: this includes a ceiling mounted projector and a large projection screen in the front of the classroom.
  • Audio System: includes a specified amount of speakers that are designed to replace the ceiling tiles, which allows for quality sound without invasive speakers taking up valuable space. The rooms can  also be wired for assisted listening, if needed.
  • Control: an LCD touch screen is the heart of the control system, which operates the components of the overall system.
  • Document Camera: is similar to the old style overhead projector, except the instructor can project a three-dimensional object through the camera onto the projection screen, as opposed to strictly using transparency paper.
  • Proprietary Control Software: this is written by LMG and tailored to the specific needs of the client.

In addition to these components, SMART classrooms are equipped with a VCR, DVD, microphone, wireless radio frequency mouse and keyboard, a permanently mounted PC, and a laptop port.

LMG Systems Integration team has experience in working on SMART Classrooms throughout Central Florida.
