Going Big for Skrillex New Year's Eve Show in Detroit
LMG Touring rang in 2013 with Skrillex at the Palace of Auburn Hills in Michigan. Headlining the New Year's Eve electronic music event, dubbed "The Bang", Skrillex appeared at the stroke of midnight with a one of a kind stage set and massive video backdrop featuring an array of captivating imagery to support his energetic 90-minute set. The event also featured German electronic producer Boys Noize, and special guests Flosstradamus, Alvin Risk, D.I.M. and Destructo.
LMG Touring provided over 750 LED tiles for the enormous video display, comprised of 18.75 LED that made up the 36' x 60' center screen, and the two 14' x 30' side screens. LMG also provided a lighting and truss package, including a complement of Clay Paky Sharpys, VARI*LITE VL3000 Spots, Martin 2K Profiles, ROBE Robin 600 LEDWash fixtures, Martin Atomic Strobes, and Elation OptiPars.
"This was an amazing show, and the team worked together seamlessly to accomplish such a large production with a same day load-in," states Craig Mitchell, National Touring Manager with LMG.
